Anchors and LFRD support home with raised floor
The following photo sequence is for a home with a raised floor attached to the anchors.
Note the ability to install the helical anchors in all types of weather, no matter
the site conditions -- something not easily done with drilled concrete piers or
driven concrete piles. In addition, you'll see the Lateral Force Resistance Device
('LFRD') used on several of the helical anchors as called out by the engineer. The
LFRD is the only non-concrete solution available today to provide for the lateral
issues facing builders who install in-ground load-bearing support components. Finally,
the last graphic shows the detail of the helical anchor connecting to the raised
floor -- one of many ways we can design a reliable, load-bearing solution when you
need to build on hillsides, areas with high water tables, or collapsible soils.
